Think this puzzle looks easy?
It isn’t.
Your challenge is simple:
Move exactly ONE egg so that there are 5 eggs on each side.
You cannot move a second egg.
You cannot remove an egg.
And you cannot add anything new.
So, where should that one egg go?
Take a close look at the arrangement before reading the answer.
At first, you might think the solution is to move one egg from the horizontal row to the vertical row.
But that quickly creates another problem.
One side may have five eggs while the other has only three or four.
So that doesn’t work.
You might try moving an egg from the vertical row instead.
Again, the numbers don’t line up.
Maybe you could move an egg to create a completely new row?
That sounds promising, but it still doesn’t give you five eggs on both sides.
The trick is to stop thinking of each egg as belonging to only one row.
Look carefully at the point where the horizontal and vertical rows meet.
That intersection is the key.
One egg is already sitting there.
Now look at the single egg positioned by itself at the top.
That’s the egg you need to move.
