I lost my baby at 17 and left the hospital empty-handed.

The irreversible announcement and the phrase that changes everything

Two days later, the news arrived, cold and irreversible. The world stopped. No screams, no scene. Just this immense, indescribable void. How can you grieve for someone you never even got to hold? It was then that a quiet presence changed something. A nurse sat beside her. Nothing dramatic. Just a soft voice, slow gestures, and that whispered phrase, like a fragile promise: "You're young. Life still has plans for you." At that moment, those words seemed impossible to believe.

Leaving the hospital, entering the void

She left the hospital empty-handed. She returned home with an exhausted body and a heavy heart. She packed away belongings she would never use, put her studies on hold, and took on a series of  precarious jobs . She wasn't really living: she was just getting by, day after day.
